Ship Catches Fire After Being Struck Near Yemen

A merchant ship has been struck around 55m Southeast of Aden in the Red Sea, according to Ambrey analytics.

  • Ambrey did not name the ship involved, but there are unconfirmed reports said it was the Marlin Luanda ((IMO 9829899) and carrying naphtha.
  • The Marline Luanda was already involved in an attempted attack this morning, according to TradeWinds.
  • The Oceonix Services Ltd-owned Marlin Luanda is operated by Trafigura and flagged with the Marshall Islands.
