Sinopec Expects Lower Refining Runs in 2022

China Petroleum and Chemical Corp said on Monday that annual processing volumes for 2022 will fall by 6% from last year.

  • In H1 22 Sinopec processed 4.2% less crude than H1 last year at 120.76m tonnes and plans for 120m tonnes in H2 22. In total 255.28m tonnes were processed in 2021.
  • Refinery output has dropped due to lower domestic demand on the back of Covid restrictions.
