Social Distancing Measures Extended As Vaccinations Begin

SOUTH KOREA

The vaccine campaign in South Korea has begun, with nursing home workers and patients receiving the first dose of the AstraZeneca jab, Saturday (Feb 27) will see start of the Pfizer vaccination campaign with healthcare workers in coronavirus treatment facilities a priority.

  • South Korea reported 406 new cases in the past 24 hours, a slight uptick from 396 the previous day. The government announced earlier that it would extend its current social distancing measures for another two weeks, as sporadic COVID-19 cluster infections continue to pop up across the country.
