South African Finance Minister Enoch Godongwana says the Treasury is working to have the country removed from a global dirty money watchlist and anticipates an exit in the "first period of 2025." (BBG)

  • Godongwana told reporters "We are speedily implementing the action plan agreed to by South Africa and the Financial Action Task Force," adding that the "Government is working diligently and collaboratively to meet all the deficiencies identified and believe that an exit from the gray listing can take place as early as the first period of 2025".
