Spox-Putin, Xi Had 'Thorough Exchange' Of Views, More Talks Today

MNI (London) - Kremlin spox Dmitri Peskov has stated that Presidents Vladimir Putin and Xi Jinping held a 'thorough exchange' of views during four hours of talks on 20 March, including on China's proposed peace plan for Ukraine. Xi is meeting with Russian PM Mikhal Mishustin currently, before meeting with Putin again for further talks. The two will hold a press briefing later today before a state dinner in the evening.

  • The Chinese Foreign Ministryissued a readoutof the meeting yesterday, while Xi invited Putin and Mishustin to visit China later this year.
  • Chinese FM states the Putin-Xi talks today will seek to 'plan a new blueprint for China-Russia comprehensive strategic partnership of coordination in the coming period.'
