CZECHIA
  • Polling stations will open for Czechia's presidential election at 14:00CET/13:00GMT and Czechs will be able to cast their votes until 22:00CET/21:00GMT. The voting process will resume between 08:00CET/07:00GMT and 14:00CET/13:00GMT on Saturday, with first exit polls set to come out shortly thereafter. Lidove Noviny cited estimates suggesting that the turnout could reach 70%, the highest in the country's presidential election. • The lower house of parliament resumes session today and the ANO movement led by Andrej Babis suggested that it would hand over the signatures under a motion of no confidence in the government.
  • The CNB will publish data on Czechia's current account balance this morning, with consensus calling for a reduction in the deficit to CZK26.00bn.
