Swedish County Approves 5.5GW Offshore Wind Farm

The Swedish administrative board of Gotland has recommended that the government grant a permit for the development of OX2’s 5.5GW Aurora offshore wind farm in Sweden’s economic zone, according to the firm.

  • If the government approves the first phase of the project, it could be operational by 2030. This phase will produce around 6 TWh/yr.
  • The entire project will produce 24 TWh/yr and is expected to be fully developed by 2035.
