US TSYS: T-Notes have operated in a 2 tick range, with little in the way of
major news flow.
- Fed non-voter Kaplan was the latest to stress the symmetrical nature of the
Fed's inflation target, and reiterated that he is in the 3 hikes in total for
2018 camp, advocating the need for the gradual removal of monetary
accommodation. This came after Fed voters Bostic & Barkin, as well as non-voter
Evans gave their own views on the symmetrical nature of the Fed's target on
Monday, offering little new, although Barkin came down on the hawkish side of
the spectrum in his first public address (as was exp.)
- Traders await comments from Fed Chair Powell & US President Trump's decision
on the Iranian nuclear accord, due Tuesday. It is worth noting that a report
from the NYT suggested that EU leaders have been unable to convince Trump to
remain in the deal.
- The cash curve has stuck to a tight range thus far. The white & red Eurodollar
contracts are trading unchanged to a tick lower. T-Notes last at 119.20, Tsy
