TC Energy Anticipates May In-Service for Southeast Gateway Pipeline: Oil & Gas Journal

  • TC Energy Corp., Calgary, reached mechanical completion of the 715-km, 1.3 bcf/d Southeast Gateway pipeline project on Jan. 20, 2025, and anticipates a May 1, 2025 in-service date.
  • TC is currently working with Mexico’s state-owned Comisión Federal de Electricidad (CFE) to finalize the remaining Southeast Gateway project completion activities.
  • The natural gas pipeline will serve southeast Mexico, starting onshore in Tuxpan, Veracruz, then proceeding offshore, making landfall at Coatzacoalcos, Veracruz, and in Paraíso, Tabasco. The project is expected to be in-service by mid-2025 at an estimated cost of $4.5 billion.
  • TC has received US FERC authorization to begin work on its 150-MMcf/d Gas Transmission Northwest (GTN) Xpress expansion project.
