USDCAD consolidated the break of 1.35 with the uptrend extending through 1.3560.
Soft oil prices underpinned the move with bulls looking for a positive weekly
close to bring the 1.36 level back into view. Above here opens a return to the
Jan 2 ytd high at 1.3663, ahead of the 1.37 level. On the downside, a break back
under 1.35 is required to give bears hope of a short-term reversal, opening a
run at the 1.3430/40 area which has registered a series of previous lows.
