JGBS: The 10-Year JGB opened Tokyo at 150.43 after extending gains from
yesterday's Tokyo session into the overnight. On Friday's session post BOJ
buying operations and post announcements that the U.S Senate approved the
budget, Tsy's slid and took JGB's with them, the 10-Year plummeted to 150.27 and
was last at 150.30.
- Scheduled for 0735BST/1535JST is a speech from the BOJ's Governor Kuroda ahead
of Sunday's election where President Abe is set to win the majority and his 4th
term according to large scale domestic polls. RBC said, "Ahead of Sunday's
Japanese general election, opinion polls show the coalition of incumbent Prime
Minister Shinzo Abe's on course for a comfortable victory and set to maintain
its two-thirds majority which is needed for constitutional change."
- JGB yields up across the curve coming into Tokyo's close... 10-Year last up
0.8bp. Earlier in the session yields looked to be setting up for the possibility
current Pres. Abe could lose seats in the impending election which would
question the BOJ Kuroda's fate and Abe's infamous 'Abenomics.'
