BOJ: The Bank of Japan will maintain its assessment that Japanese exports are on
an uptrend as Ministry of Finance data showed Thursday that they rose 6.7% on
year in June for the 19th straight year-on-year rise, indicating firm global
demand. But BOJ economists remain vigilant against the risks that global demand
will be hurt by the protectionist U.S. trade policy following the World Economic
Outlook released by the International Monetary Fund on Monday.
