CHINA YUAN: The China Foreign Exchange Trade System (CFETS) announced that the
official yuan closing price at 16:30 local time (08:30 GMT) on Tuesday was
6.6272 against the U.S. dollar, stronger than the official closing of 6.6476 on
Monday. The People's Bank of China set the yuan fixing at 6.6397 against the
U.S. dollar on Tuesday, stronger than the central parity of 6.6487 on Monday.
The stronger fixing today followed two straight trading days of weaker fixings.
