EUROPEAN DATA: The ECB Balance of Payments data show the portfolio flows for
June as follows, quote from the ECB press release: 
- "With regard to portfolio investment assets, euro area residents made net
acquisitions of foreign securities amounting to E73 billion. This resulted from
net acquisitions of equity (E17 billion) and debt securities (E16 billion of a
short-term and E41 billion of a long-term maturity). Portfolio investment
liabilities increased by E34 billion as a result of non-euro area residents' net
acquisitions of euro area equity (E43 billion) and, to a lesser extent,
long-term debt securities (E3 billion), which were partly offset by net
sales/amortisations of short-term debt securities (E11 billion) by non-euro area
residents."
- In summary, European equity markets were popular with foreigners and Europeans
bought E73bln of overseas securities, including E41bln of bonds
