KIWI: The flightless bird opened in Asia at $0.6840 at the lower side of
yesterday's $0.6834 to $0.6904 range, where broad-based US dollar strength was
the main theme, supported by higher US rate yields and favourable US tax reform
developments. In the absence of any local data to impact trading, traders expect
consolidation with a downside bias as Asia heads into the weekend. Support is
seen at ($0.6818 May11 low), a break to expose $0.6676 (May30 2016 low), while
hourly resistance lies at $0.6860. Kiwi is currently changing hands at $0.6842.
