STOCKS: The major Asia-Pac regional indices trade higher at the margin, even
with after RTRS sources suggested that off'ls from the local branch of China's
PBoC, along with other regulators, recently met fin'l institutions in Liaoning
province to discuss measures to deal with liquidity problems at troubled Bank of
Jinzhou.
- Elsewhere, South Korean chipmaker SK Hynix warned on 2020 investment levels.
- U.S. equity index futures trade mixed. Facebook moved higher in after hours
trade, although Ford & Tesla fell, with all of those moves tied to the
respective earnings results.
- For pharma names, it is worth highlighting a RTRS sources piece which
suggested that "U.S. President Donald Trump is considering a sweeping executive
order that would cut prices on virtually all branded prescription drugs sold to
Medicare & other government programs."
- Nikkei 225 +0.3%, Hang Seng +0.2%, CSI 300 +0.3%, ASX 200 +0.3%.
- S&P 500 futures unch., DJIA futures +44, NASDAQ 100 futures -24.
