CHINA: The Ministry of Finance announced it issued CNY7 billion in government
bonds in Hong Kong on Thursday. The issuance for institutional investors totaled
CNY6.5 billion, including CNY4 billion in two-year bonds, CNY2 billion in
five-year bonds and CNY500 million in 10-year bonds, with yields of 3.90%, 4.10%
and 4.15%, respectively. The issuance for foreign central banks and regional
monetary authorities totaled CNY500 million, including CNY300 million in
two-year facilities and CNY200 million in five-year bonds, with yields the same
as China government bonds of the same durations.
