CHINA YUAN: The panel w Dal Fed Pres Kaplan, Q&A w/ Tom Barkin, Raphael Bostic,

Mary Daly wrapped up a few minutes ago. Listened to it, not much new, though

Kaplan's comments re China (where he apparently went on a trip recently) appear

to be garnering most headlines. From BBG:

- "They are gearing up to try to grow faster. Don't be surprised if you don't

see some further devaluation also in their currency in response to tariffs last

year"... "There hasn't been a lot said about it -- their currency devalued. We

could well see their currency devalue more. They weren't bashful, some leaders

we talked to, about mentioning that".

- CNH off a little around the time of those comments but back to flat, last at

6.9284.
