CHINA: The State Administration of Foreign Exchange reported Monday that China's
goods and services trade showed a surplus of $24.5 billion in October, on total
revenues of $201.5 billion and total expenses of $176.9 billion. The numbers are
measured according to international standards. Goods trade revenues in October
were $184 billion, with goods expenses totaling $141.7 billion, resulting in a
goods trade surplus of $42.3 billion. The services trade ended with a deficit of
$17.8 billion, with revenues of $17.5 billion and expenses of $35.2 billion.
