DOLLAR-CANADA
DOLLAR-CANADA: The stronger USD led by UST yields lifted Usd/Cad to three week
highs of C$1.2861 overnight, before fading. Rate has largely settled C$1.2830/40
into Europe with resistance at C$1.2876 from the Ichimoku cloud top. Support at
C$1.2790 (Topside 1.0% envelope). BoC Governor Poloz also spoke, re-iterating
that inflation above target this year will only be temporary. Markets expected
to be on headline watch today as NAFTA ministers are due to meet again in
Washington, still pushing to reach an agreement in the next few weeks. Usd/Cad
last C$1.2838.
