US TSYS/SUPPLY: The US Treasury could possibly announce/and auction a 41-day
Cash Management Bill on Friday, December 8 in an effort to achieve its cash
balances target ahead of a debt limit suspension. Tsy said that if "auctioned,
this same-day CMB would mature on Thursday, Jan. 18, 2018. Additional details of
the CMB, including the offering amount, would be included in the offering
announcement. The offering announcement and auction times, if any, are expected
to be as follows:"
- Announcement: 9:30 a.m. ET December 8, 2017 -
 Noncompetitive close: 11:00 a.m. ET December 8, 2017
- Competitive close: 11:30 a.m. ET December 8, 2017
- "When-Issued trading for this CMB should not occur unless the security is
officially announced. This action may be necessary in order for Treasury to
achieve its cash balance target in advance of the expiration of the debt limit
suspension period," it said.
