GOLD: The yellow metal has added $3 or so in Asia-Pacific trade, last
~$1,270/oz, after falling from session highs in the latter part of NY trade
Wednesday, as U.S. stocks surged, ultimately closing $2 or so softer on the day.
- Several consecutive closes above the July 9 high has bulls looking for a close
above the trend channel top & yesterday's session high, which would then allow
them to focus on the $1,300 pivot area. The 200-DMA continues to provide the
initial major support level.
