Third Bipartisan Congressional Delegation Headed To Kyiv

The Hill is reporting that a bipartisan delegation led by Chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee Gregory Meeks (D-NY) is enroute from Brussels to Kyiv to meet Ukrainian government officials.

  • The delegation is expected to reaffirm US support for Ukraine and discuss the potential US military reinforcement of NATO states in Europe.
  • Meeks Tweeted yesterday: 'I strongly support the diplomatic path set forth by the @POTUS Admin in the attempt to lower the temperature on the Russian-Ukrainian border. Russia maintaining the military threat aimed directly at Kyiv & our NATO Allies is not a peaceful negotiating tactic.'
  • The delegation is made up of Reps David Cicilline (D-RI), Ami Bera (D-CA), Colin Allred (D-TX), Chrissy Houlahan (D-PA), Tom Malinowski (D-NJ), Sara Jacobs (D-CA), Mark Green (R-TN), August Pfluger (R-TX) Mikie Sherill (D-NJ), and Victoria Spartz (R-IN)
