Total Gas Consumption in Germany 27% Below Normal Last Week

Total gas consumption in Germany was 27% below the 2018 to 2021 average last week according to Trading Hub Europe Data via the Bundesnetzagentur.

  • Industrial production was 24.5% below the average and the combined household and business consumption was 31% below. Warm weather at the start of the winter heating season has helped keep demand down.
  • The graph below from the regulator shows the weekly average gas consumption in Germany compared to the 2018-2021 average.
