EURO-STERLING: Touched a fresh YTD low of Gbp0.8394 Monday, as sterling enjoyed
an early week boost from weekend polls suggesting PM Johnson maintains his lead
over Labour, which if reflected in the election Thursday, should provide him
with a working majority. The dip had taken rate outside the base of its 1.0%
10-dma envelope but quickly corrected back within. Rate recovered to a Monday
high of Gbp0.8426 before closing the day at Gbp0.8420. That envelope base
currently comes through at Gbp0.8394(Monday's low), with the 10-dma at
Gbop0.8479. Interim support noted at Gbp0.8410, resistance Gbp0.8430/35.
- UK data at 0930GMT, IP & Mfg, Trade, GDP and Construction Output, but
Thursday's election overshadows.
