Transneft System Crude Exports Fall 4-5% in 2023

Crude exports from Russia via the Transneft system are expected to fall by 4-5% in 2023 according to Transneft CEO Nikolay Tokarev following Russia’s export cut commitment to OPEC+.

  • Russian crude supplies via southern leg of Druzhba pipeline to Slovakia were down 10% from 5.25m tons in 2022.
  • Flows to Hungary were down 2% from almost 5m tons last year but supplies to Czech Republic were unchanged on the year at 4.2m tons.
  • Crude supply requests are expected to remain approximately unchanged in 2024.
