US TSYS SUMMARY: Treasures are a little higher early Tuesday, with little on the
agenda today apart from U.S. corporate earnings.
- Jun 10-Yr futures (TY) up 2/32 at 123-00 (L: 122-30 / H: 123-02), fairly quiet
session overnight.
- Curve fairly flat: 2-Yr yield down 0.2bps at 2.3847%, 5-Yr down 0.7bps at
2.3796%, 10-Yr down 0.7bps at 2.5813%, and 30-Yr down 0.4bps at 2.9879%.
- Eurodollars largely steady, +/- 1 tick across the strip.
- Oil prices maintaining gains following U.S. withdrawing Iran sanction waivers.
- In earlier headlines, Trump's Fed Governor nominee, Herman Cain, ruled himself
out of contention for the role.
- Tuesday's U.S. economic releases largely second-tier, with March new home
sales and Richmond Fed manufacturing the main points of interest.
- Also worth noting is 2-Year note auction today, at 1300ET.
- FOMC blackout period has begun ahead of May 1 meeting.
- Big week for earnings (34% of S&P report) - today sees big names including
Procter and Gamble, Texas Instruments, Coca-Cola, Twitter among others.
