US: Treasuries and other financial markets face a jam-packed event calendar
today: consider that 9am ET reportedly brings the GOP House leaders unveiling
the tax reform/cut plan; that was expected to be the subject of a House Ways &
Means panel meeting next Monday.
- Also Pres. Trump has a busy schedule too before he leaves Friday morning for a
Nov. 3-14 trip across Asia: He expected to speak about a jobs announcement at
noon ET, he is meeting with House Ways and Means panel at 1:45pm  ET and then at
3pm ET, he was expected to formally announce Fed Gov. Powell as his Fed chair
nominee.
- And also Fed Gov. Powell has introductory remarks at the Alternative Reference
Rates Committee Roundtable at 8:30am ET, while NY Fed Dudley has closing remarks
of 12:20pm ET. Those could be technical remarks but may draw attention. And
looking overseas, the BOE Carney also will be speaking 8:30am ET.
- Speaking of taxes, the House GOP tax reform/cut plan was expected to cut the
corporate tax rate to 20% and to keep the top tax individual rate unchanged,
those this is still fluid, said Bloomberg.
