US TSYS SUMMARY: Treasuries are a little weaker early Tuesday, though trading in
a very tight range, as Fed news is both digested and awaited.
- The Mar 19 T-Note future is down 4/32 at 121-295, having traded in a range of
121-28 to 122-015.
- Curve is a little flatter, with the 2-Yr yield up 0.8bps at 2.5488%, 5-Yr up
0.3bps at 2.5408%, 10-Yr down 0.2bps at 2.6941%, and 30-Yr down 0.4bps at
2.984%.
- Plenty of Fed news. White House's nominee for Board of Governors, Nellie
Liang, has withdrawn from consideration. Fed's Bostic Monday said he saw one
rate hike in 2019 (but he is a non-voter).
- No scheduled Fedspeak today, but Wednesday big, with Bostic, Evans (voter),
Rosengren (voter) on the slate, and Dec FOMC minutes published.
- Pres. Trump set to make a prime-time television address this evening,
apparently to make the case for border wall funding.
- US JOLTS data (1500GMT/1000ET) the main data highlight today.
