US TSYS SUMMARY: Treasuries are a touch weaker for the third consecutive day
Tuesday, with a slight pick-up in risk appetite seen early.
- The curve is trading mixed, with the 2-Yr yield up 0.8bps at 2.8634%, 5-Yr up
1.6bps at 3.0253%, 10-Yr up 1.3bps at 3.169%, and 30-Yr up 1.4bps at 3.3503%.
- Eurodollar futures modestly lower, contracts beyond Dec19 are off 1.5 ticks.
- Market backdrop is slightly risk-on: Dollar is trading mixed-to-lower; DXY
down under 0.1% at 95.016, while equity futures are pointing higher, S&P 500
mini up 11.50 at 2,760.25.
- SF Fed's Daly speaks at Wellesely College later with Q&A (1615 EST).
- U.S. Tsys semi-annual FX report is keenly awaited, with the Saudi journalist
situation in the Kingdom's Turkish consulate still under scrutiny.
- Main data is industrial production out at 0915EST - expected to rise by 0.2%
in September on a utilities surge that should be offset by softer readings for
manufacturing and mining production.
- Tuesday also sees JOLTS and NAHB Home Builder Index (both 1000EST).
