US TSYS SUMMARY: Treasuries are retracing some losses posted Tuesday, but still
look under pressure from a medium-term perspective.
- Tsy cash curve is flatter, with 2-Yr yields down 1.0bps at 2.734% (down from
cycle highs set late Tuesday of 2.7479%), 5-Yr down 1.4bps at 2.853%, 10-Yr down
1.5bps at 2.961%, and 30-Yr down 1.0bps at 3.109%.
- T-note Dec18 futures are up 3/32 at 119-13+.
- USD is a little weaker after earlier gains (EUR faded on BBG sources story
saying ECB will pare back its growth forecasts at tomorrow`s meeting), DXY down
0.136 at 95.112.
- Oil prices remain elevated on Hurricane Florence potential impact; WTI up
$0.58/bbl at $69.81/bbl.
- The Eurodollar strip is likewise bull flattening, with Green and Blue
contracts up 2.0-2.5 ticks.
- Fed's Brainard & Bullard are due to speak later on Wednesday, with the release
of the latest Beige book also scheduled at 1800GMT/1400EST.
- Treasury auctions 10-Yr today, 30-Yr Thursday.
