US TSYS SUMMARY: Treasuries are trading largely flat early Monday after some
earlier weakness, with U.S.-China trade tensions eyed.
- Modest bear flattening in the curve early: 2-Yr yield is up 1bps at 2.2084%,
5-Yr is up 0.8bps at 2.1812%, 10-Yr is up 0.2bps at 2.3927%, and 30-Yr is down
0.3bps at 2.8222%.
- The U.S.'s crackdown on Huawei suppliers and possible Chinese retaliation the
focal point of trade tension headlines with Beijing over the weekend.
- Stocks lower, S&P E-mini off 0.5% and Nasdaq off 1.1%.
- Still, not much in the way of risk-off seen in Tsy futures. Jun 10-Yr futures
(TY) down 0.5/32 at 124-15 (L: 124-09 / H: 124-17).
- Eurodollar strip fairly flat, but mixed, with Whites/Reds off 0.5-1.0 tocks,
and Greens through Golds steady/up 0.5 ticks.
- Fedspeak today includes Clarida, Williams & Harker. Fed's Kaplan sounded a
little more cautious over the weekend.
- Dearth of U.S. data, however. FOMC minutes are the focus later this week.
