US TSYS SUMMARY: Treasuries have had a fairly quiet start to the week after last
week`s post-FOMC moves.
- The Mar 19 T-Note future is down 1/32 at 121-29, having traded in a range of
121-26 to 122-00.
- Some limited bear curve steepening: 2-Yr yield up 0.6bps at 2.508%, 5-Yr up
0.7bps at 2.51%, 10-Yr up 0.9bps at 2.6931%, and 30-Yr up 1bps at 3.0353%.
- The U.S. government re-open will allow for a back-log of data to be released
from the BEA and Census Bureau over the next couple of weeks. The return of
Factory new orders for November will be reported Monday (1000ET).
- SCMP reported talk of a trade summit between Pres Trump and Chinese
counterpart Xi on Feb 27-28 in Vietnam.
- Fedspeak starts up again Tuesday with Cleveland Fed`s Mester; Powell and
Clarida among others later this week.
- This follows predictably dovish words from Kashkari (non-voter) Sunday.
- Treasury auctions 13- and 26W bills on Monday.
