Trinidad to brief new US administration on gas projects with Venezuela: Reuters 

  • Trinidad and Tobago will brief the administration of President Trump on the importance of keeping U.S. licenses to jointly develop natural gas projects with U.S.-sanctioned Venezuela for reasons of regional energy security, Prime Minister Keith Rowley said on Monday.
  • Washington in recent years has granted two key licenses for gas projects between Venezuela and Trinidad to be operated by Shell and BP that might need to be extended to secure first output from the fields.
