A YouGov poll has found that former President Donald Trump is now favoured by Republican voters over Florida Governor Ron DeSantis (R-FL) for the first time since the former declared his intention to run for president in November.
- YouGov: “Previously, DeSantis led Trump 45% to 41% among Republican voters. Now Trump leads DeSantis 47% to 39% — a net swing of 12 percentage points in Trump’s direction since early February.”
- The YouGov poll follows a series of surveys this week showing that Trump has experienced a significant bump in polling.
- An Emerson poll shows Trump leading Ron DeSantis by 30-points (55%-25%)
- GOP polling firm Echelon Insights shows Trump leading DeSantis by 15 points (46%-31%).
- Fox News' first presidential primary poll shows Trump leading DeSantis by 15 points (43%-28%).
