Trump's Positive Test Doesn't Rule Out Oct 15 Debate With Biden

Now that U.S. President Trump has tested positive for COVID-19, the quarantine rules are actually slightly different vs. just coming into contact with someone with the virus, so the October 15 Biden-Trump debate could still be on providing Trump meets the following criteria:

  • 10 days since symptoms first appeared and
  • 24 hours with no fever without the use of fever-reducing medications and
  • Other symptoms of COVID-19 are improving (Loss of taste and smell may persist for weeks or months after recovery and need not delay the end of isolation)
