with strong volume (TYU 450k), curves flatter; a fall in European equities along
with an unscheduled BOJ buying ops supported the firming of TSY; bank portfolio
selling 2s, fast- and real$ buying 5s and 10s, tactical steepener unwinds from
prop, fast$ accts
-BOE voted unanimously for a 25 basis point rate hike bringing the bank rate to
0.75%; a few changes in forecasts include cuts in wage growth, household
consumption, business investment, export growth however the BoE raised its
housing investment
-The BOJ Deputy Governor stated they will not weaken the degree of monetary
easing, looking to balance economic expansion and price stability
-DXY stronger (+.240, 94.901); West Texas Crude (WTI -0.58, 67.08); Gold weaker
(XAU -0.75, 1215.20); US$/Yen slightly lower (JPY -0.25, 111.48)
