US TSYS: Tsys slide a bit lower, 10Y note is at 2.301%; BMO's Aaron Kohli said
that "better durables put pressure on Treasuries".
- "August preliminary Durable Goods estimates were much stronger than expected
with the headline at 1.7% versus 1% consensus," Kohli said. "Ex Air and
non-Defense orders and shipments both exceeded estimates handily with orders at
0.9% . Overall a solid print with Defense new orders dropping 9.4% and defense
aircraft new orders down 24% as two of the minor weak spots. Computer products
fell as well, but the overall details were solid and new orders were up in most
of the underlying categories. Treasuries are under pressure on the results."
