US TSYS
US TSYS: Tsys stuck to tight ranges overnight, with yields across the curve
0.7-1.1bp lower at writing.
- Trump once again pointed to the 'health' of the U.S. economy, with the space
ignoring the comments and focusing on the incoming data/Fedspeak, as well as the
ongoing U.S.-China trade talks, with Trump set to meet with Chinese trade envoy
Liu later today.
- FT reports suggested that "US & Chinese negotiators are trying to resolve a
long-running dispute between semiconductor rivals Micron Technologies & Fujian
Jinhua as part of a larger trade agreement."
- Eurodollar activity has been extremely limited, with the whites and reds
virtually unchanged for the duration of the session thus far.
- A plethora of Fedspeak is due Friday, with the text of Fed Chair Powell's
semi-annual report to congress set to headline, although most expect the report
to hold little in the way of fresh information. Clarida, Williams, Bostic,
Bullard, Harker & Quarles will all speak today.
- T-Notes last 121.28+, U.S. 10-Year cash Tsy yields last 2.681%.
