TTF Falls on Strong LNG Supplies and Filling Storage

NATURAL GAS

European gas prices continue to pull back with front month TTF trading at the lowest since the end of July before Nord Stream pipeline flows were cut down from 40% capacity to zero.

    • TTF OCT 22 down -4.6% at 177€/MWh
  • European gas storage continues to fill despite the low pipeline supply with the help of strong LNG supplies. European storage is up to 87.41% full with Germany at 91.02%, Italy at 89.25%, France at 96.36%, and Netherlands at 89.02%.
  • A recovery in supply from Norway is also helping as fields gradually return from maintenance. Nominations are up to 290mcm/d today from around 270mcm/d last week but still below flows of approximately 320mcm/d seen in August.
  • LNG supplies into NW Europe averaged 225mcm/d last week while gas transit through Ukraine is stable at 42.4mcm/d.
