TTF Lower on Near Normal Temperatures and High Storage

European gas prices are holding below the highs from yesterday with weather forecast showing temperatures in NW Europe near to normal over the weekend before recovering back slightly above into next week.

    • TTF DEC 22 down -3.2% at 120.11€/MWh
    • TTF SUM 23 down -1.7% at 127€/MWh
    • TTF WIN 23 down -1.3% at 125.5€/MWh
  • Risks that an escalation of the Ukraine war could impact the remaining Russian gas supply through Ukraine are supporting the market.
  • Norwegian flows to Europe are still curtailed due to a fire over the weekend causing an outage at Aasgard. Nominations are today showing unchanged from yesterday at 299.3mcm/d.
  • Net LNG imports were just below 400mcm/d at the start of the week with supply into NW Europe at around 245mcm/d.
  • European storage is still holding at 95.6% with Germany up to 99.98%, Italy at 95.36%, France at 99.18%, and Netherlands at 91.84%.
