TTF prices pull back

NATURAL GAS

European gas prices continue to fall back as the risk of Russian supply disruption reduces. TTF down 3.75% today to 82.75€/MWh.

  • Many gas payments have now taken place and there have been no further signs of interruptions to flows from Russia. Supply via Ukraine is very slightly lower today at 43.6mcm/d and Nord Stream remain steady at 73.2GWh/h.
  • Europe is trying to fill storage as quickly as possible to reach the EU target of 80% full by November to help with energy security after suffering due to deleted storage amounts last winter. EU storage levels are up to 44.45% today.
  • LNG imports remain at the top end of the 5-year range for this time of year, but Norwegian flows are still restricted to 302.1mcm/d today due to outages.
