TTF Trades Back Negative on Day to Reverse Earlier Gains

NATURAL GAS

Front month TTF prices have reverse previous gains after reaching a peak of 41.75€/MWh earlier today. The market is still maintaining a bearish tone with supplies coping with the recent cold weather in Europe but still sensitive to any possible supply disruptions.

  • The market is weighing high recent storage withdrawals against the potential for a relatively short period of warmer weather next week expected to ease demand pressure.
  • The EU is set to allow its member states the power to halt gas imports from Russian and Belarus according to the FT Friday. The preliminary text is expected to be endorsed in the European Parliament Friday.
    • TTF JAN 24 down -0.1% at 39.95€/MWh
    • TTF Q1 24 down -0.3% at 40.1€/MWh
    • TTF SUM 24 up 0.1% at 39.46€/MWh
