TURKEY: Net Reserves Excl. Swaps Mark First Positive Reading in 4 Years

  • Turkish central bank net reserves excluding swaps rose to +$1.5bn last week, the first positive reading in 4 years, bankers say as per Reuters. 
  • Net reserves excluding swaps have risen by almost $67bn since the March 31 local elections. Net reserves rose $5bn last week.
  • Speaking last week, Finance Minister Simsek had stated that the figure would be positive soon.
