Turkish Gas Hub Under Discussion with Russia

Details of a Turkish hub for Russian gas are under discussion according to Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov.

  • "The interest of both countries in the establishment of a gas hub was underlined at the recent meeting of the two presidents (of Russia and Turkey) in Astana. Details are being discussed," he said.
  • "We are aware of a very important detail connected to the sales," he said, adding "As this element becomes clear, the hub parameters will be clear,".
  • In response to Czech Minister of Industry and Trade Josef Sikela who said Europe would not buy Russian gas from the Turkish hub, Peskov said "I think Mr. Jozef Sikela knows that there are many countries other than Czechia on the European continent and they may have different views at different stages, different times and different adequacy of perception of events, etc.,"
