Turkish Rates Wilt as FOMC, CBRT Jitters Dampen Sentiment

  • Local & USD rates remain unchanged this morning, having seen notable selling pressure throughout yesterday's broadly risk-off session.
  • TurkGBs underperformed their hard currency counterparts, rising +13-25bp across the curve with 5Y +25bp & 10Y +19bp on the day.
  • USD bonds closed +4.3-14.1bp higher across the curve with a bear flattening bias: 2Y +9bp, 3Y +14.1bp, 5Y +7.6bp.
  • Turkey's 5Y CDS also notched higher in line with its EM peers, rising +14.6bp on the day to move back above 400 as the FOMC & CBRT loom.
