EQUITIES: U.S. futures erased losses after a China CDC official declared the
Beijing Coronavirus outbreak to be "contained".
- Asian stocks closed mixed, with Japan's NIKKEI down 100.3 pts or -0.45% at
22355.46 and the TOPIX down 4 pts or -0.25% at 1583.09. China's SHANGHAI closed
up 3.442 pts or +0.12% at 2939.315 and the HANG SENG ended 16.47 pts lower or
-0.07% at 24464.94.
- European equities are a little higher, with the German Dax up 49.59 pts or
+0.4% at 12381.24, FTSE 100 up 13.81 pts or +0.22% at 6263.51, CAC 40 up 15.78
pts or +0.32% at 5001.82 and Euro Stoxx 50 up 9.57 pts or +0.29% at 3275.38.
- U.S. futures have reversed course higher, with the Dow Jones mini up 64 pts or
+0.24% at 26185, S&P 500 mini up 6.25 pts or +0.2% at 3120.25, NASDAQ mini up
34.75 pts or +0.35% at 10021.5.
