U.S. Tech Headwinds Gathering?

The major regional indices that were open registered modest gains during Asia-Pac hours on Tuesday, with liquidity still sapped by the ongoing Chinese holiday, with modest spill over from Monday's broader risk rally evident, although macro headline flow remained limited at best.

  • E-minis traded either side of unchanged, with some focus on BBG source reports alluding to ever-growing antitrust hurdles for U.S. tech giants, with the NASDAQ underperforming amongst the major e-mini contracts as a result.
  • Nikkei 225 +0.5%, Hang Seng +0.8%, CSI 300 closed, ASX 200 +0.2%.
  • S&P 500 futures +3, DJIA futures +60, NASDAQ 100 futures -17.
