UAE to increase LNG export capacity to 15.4m tons/yr.

  • ADNOC plans to build a new 9.6m tons/yr LNG plant at Fujairah on the west coast.
  • UAE already has LNG capacity of 5.8m tons/yr at Das Island.
  • Abu Dhabi’s Habshan gas production will link by pipeline to Fujairah for a scheduled start in 2027.
  • UAE are spending $20 billion to develop gas resources to increase production from 2025 and be self-sufficient by 2030.
