UK retail sales fell by 0.1% in October, falling short of markets 
penciling in a 0.2% uptick and revealing the third consecutive month 
without growth. October's decline was driven by a sharp drop in 
household goods and clothing sales, while non-specialised stores and 
fuel saw the only monthly gains. Sales rose by 3.1% on an annual basis, 
in line with the September result, with household goods stores reporting 
the only annual decline. Y/Y household goods stores recorded only two 
increases since the beginning of the year. Online sales rebounded in 
October, rising by a three-month-high 0.8% on a value basis.
